Good information. I like the idea of suggestions 1-4.......and will try it. As to pressing the OFF button.......on this model......here is no dedicated OFF button without going into the computer. That's why I was wondering if FAN OFF effectively turned off the AC. Thanks for the input!

In most Lexus vehicles, including the 2026 Lexus IS 350 F SPORT, turning the fan speed all the way off generally stops the climate control system from operating. In practical terms: Fan OFF = no air is blown into the cabin. When the fan is off, the air conditioner compressor is typically not actively cooling the cabin, because there is no airflow to deliver the cooled air. The A/C indicator light may still appear selected in some operating modes, but with the blower off, the climate system is effectively not providing cooling. A simple way to verify on your car: Turn on the A/C and set a cool temperature. Press the fan control until the fan is OFF. Listen for changes in engine idle (if parked) or watch for any change in fuel consumption/energy display. Turn the fan back on and see if cold air resumes immediately. If your goal is to completely shut down the climate system and avoid any A/C compressor operation, the safest method is to press the OFF button for the climate control system itself (if equipped), rather than just reducing the fan speed to zero.
