Has anyone ever repair the lumbar support on a 2004 ES330? All electric seat functions work, except the Lumbar support (there is no sound when using the buttons). Thanks for your time. Jeff

Yes. As long as you're using the 0W-20 version and it displays the API and ILSAC certifications on the bottle, Valvoline Restore & Protect meets or exceeds the oil specifications Lexus calls for in the 2020 LS 500 AWD, 2020 GX 460, and 2022 ES 350. Lexus does not require a special proprietary Lexus certification for these engines, only the proper viscosity and industry specifications. Note also that the LS 500's twin-turbo V6 is much harder on oil than the GX 460's naturally aspirated V8, so I'd be diligent about oil-change intervals there regardless of brand.

Thanks for the update. If the USB port only works when CarPlay is working, that makes it sound like the issue is deeper than just a CarPlay connection problem. Hopefully the Lexus software update they gave you resolves both issues. I'm glad you were finally able to get some direction from Lexus corporate after all those trips to the dealer. Please let us know if the update fixes it completely, as I'm sure other RX owners would find that information helpful. Best of luck! 👍

I just had my front control arms replaced as well as the sway bar links, I used Movotech parts form Rock auto and couldn't be happier with the results. all in all the cost was $1400 for parts and labor(5 hours) including an alignment. I recommend Movotech parts for replacement.

I have a 2023 RX 350h, I bought the car new and have used the apple car play since the purchase, I never listen to the radio but listen to my playlist only. On March 24, 2026 I took the car in for an oil change and their was several recalls that they were going to take care. One of those recalls was a 3 hour download on the computer, since that time my car play will only work maybe, 1 day and then is off for mostly 2/3 weeks before I can get it to work again.
