Hello everyone, I have a 2012 Lexus IS250 AWD and I've ran into a lifter ticking noise. Has anyone had the honor of going through that and if so how did you fix the problem? My last resort is to replace the lifters but I'm open for suggestions. Please, thank you.

This particular screen with “checking your surroundings” is one security feature you cannot disable. I did disable that same screen which used to pop up everytime you hit the brake. That was annoying to say the least. I read on google that the software itself may be the issue “the car’s computer instantly mutes or lowers media audio to prioritize potential parking sensor chimes or camera operations…when screen goes away the software is suppose to send a resume command to your previous radio source.”

I'm not that up with US car sales stats but I know the similar is occurring in Europe, I believe the same opinion of the models is shown by their sales stats, as they say "watch this space" Thank you for sharing this interesting review on the vehicles

There must be a setting in the system for switching off notifications - refer to your driver handbook for procedures for doing this

I puchased the vehicle in August 2026 - the issue is as follows: For example, you are approaching an intersection and the screen appears “check your surroundings”. When this screen disappears, your selected home screen reappears. Mine was set on car navigation and sirius radio. The audio does not come back on. You have to turn off the radio and put it on again for the audio to resume with sirius.

Received delivery of my new NX 350h from Canada. The metal panel seams are enormous. Looks like a car produced in the 1960s. I saw an NX made in Japan and what a difference. The dealer added door guards to make it look better. The hood looks like it is not closed.
